Nakasendo Kisoji-Fukushimajuku Historical Site Walk

Suimu Shrine has been worshipped by local residents from ancient times. “Mikoshi-makuri”, a unique festival with tradition that the newly built mikoshi (a small portable shrine) is smashed, takes place every summer. Kozenji Temple is one of three famous temples in Kiso. It is also known as a place to view cherry blossoms in spring, and tinted leaves in autumn. “Kanuntei”, the largest dry landscape garden, is a must-see.
